Robert Jason Pinoli is a principal of Mendocino Railway the company which owns and operates the Skunk Train where he serves as “The Chief Skunk”. Robert also serves as a Vice President for Sierra Railroad Company. Robert started working for the Skunk Train in 1993, a summertime high school job. At the ripe age of fourteen Robert was successful in starting an Inn on his family ranch which still operates today. Robert has an interest in several agricultural and energy related businesses throughout California. Robert currently serves as a Trustee to the Mendo-Lake Community College District. He has previously served by appointment from the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors to the BID Advisory Board (a board that deals with bed tax dollars used for tourism) and to the Sonoma Mendocino County Economic Development Board. Robert is the past Vice Chair for Visit Mendocino County (VMC), and Treasurer for Mendocino County Lodging Association (MCLA) of which he was a founding board member. He is a past board member for the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce, Mendocino County Promotions Alliance (MCPA), Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, Symphony of the Redwoods, and the Anderson Valley Chamber of Commerce. Robert has also served on several advisory committees for financial institutions in the North Bay.
